We are delighted to extend a personal invitation for you to become a member of Sonny’s Speakeasy, Bournemouth’s haven of smooth elegance and effortless charm.
Having spent 30 years entertaining people in Bournemouth I decided to do something a little more personal. Tucked away from the bustle of the everyday, Sonny’s Speakeasy captures the refined ambience of a bygone age. Our bar is furnished with deep Chesterfield armchairs, sumptuous sofas, and the occasional chaise longue—each piece chosen to encourage you to unwind, savour the moment, and settle into conversation.
Here, easy listening music sets the tone, creating an atmosphere perfect for connection—whether you’re enjoying a quiet drink, entertaining friends, or escaping for a date night. And as the weekend arrives, the room comes alive with live performances every Friday and Saturday, showcasing some of the finest local artists.
Whether you’re joining us for pre-dinner or pre-show cocktails, or you’re stopping by later in the evening to explore something a little richer, you’ll find plenty to enjoy. Our collection of single malt and blended Scotch whiskies is one of the most extensive on the south coast, including what we believe to be the largest range of The Macallan, from 12- to 25-year-old single and double cask expressions.
By becoming a member of Sonny’s Speakeasy, you’ll be among the first to hear about special events, limited releases, tasting evenings, and members-only experiences designed to deepen your enjoyment of the unique world we’ve created.
As with any exclusive club there are some conditions.
Membership of Sonny’s costs £200 per annum.
